Village Cinemas Terms and Conditions
1.1 You agree that your use of this Website and the purchase of any movie ticket, goods or services will be governed by these terms and conditions ("Terms of Use").
1.2 If Village suffers or incurs any loss or damage in connection with or as a direct consequence of any breach of these Terms of Use by you, you agree to indemnify Village for those losses and damages.
2.1 You may be asked to provide personal information, as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Personal Information") to Village before purchasing any movie ticket, goods or services from this Website, before entering any competition on the Website or before registering as a member of the Vrewards . If you do not provide that Personal Information to Village, Village may not be able to sell you movie tickets, goods or services, enter you into competitions or register you as a member of Vrewards.
2.2 All Personal Information Village collects from this Website will be maintained in accordance with Village's Privacy Policy.
2.3 You acknowledge that if you do not register as a member of Vrewards, parts of this Website designed for registered members may not be accessible to you.
2.4 Village will use its reasonable endeavours to maintain the security of any Personal Information that you provide. This Website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under Village's control. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be completely secure, and Village cannot give an absolute assurance that the information you provide to us will be secure at all times.
2.5 Village may use techniques designed to identify fraudulent activities on the Website, such as fraudulent credit card use. If any unauthorised use of your credit card occurs as a result of your credit card purchase on the Website, you should immediately notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
2.6 You agree that Village may cancel your registration as a member of Vrewards and/or refuse you access to this Website at any time in its sole discretion.

3.1 Adult Screen Saver Book of 10 is valid for the redemption of 10 movie ticket at any Village Cinemas, Events Cinemas, Greater Union or Birch, Carroll & Coyle cinema locations across Australia for 6 months only from the date of purchase subject to the following condition:
3.1.1 not valid after 5 p.m. on Saturday nights;
3.1.2 not valid at Gold Class, Movie Marathons, Special Events, 4DX or for group bookings;
3.1.3 surcharges apply for Vmax, Dolby Atmos, Vpremium, Vjunior and 3D/Real D films; and
3.1.4 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings;
3.2 The same conditions as provided in clause 3.1 apply to a Child Screen Saver Book of 10. Child Screen Savers are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under.
3.3 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
3.4 Screen Savers cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
3.5 Expiry dates on all Village Cinemas products cannot be extended or changed.
4.1 An adult gift voucher is valid for the redemption of 1 movie ticket at any Village Cinemas, Event Cinemas, Greater Union or Birch, Carroll & Coyle cinema locations across Australia subject to the following conditions:
4.1.1 not valid at Gold Class, Movie Marathons, Special Events, 4DX or group bookings;
4.1.2 surcharges apply for Vmax, Dolby Atmos, Vpremium, Vjunior and 3D/Real D films; and
4.1.3 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings
4.2 The same limitations as provided in clause 4.1 apply to Child gift vouchers. Child gift vouchers are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under.
4.3 The same limitations as provided in clause 4.1 apply to Senior gift vouchers. Senior gift vouchers are valid only for admission upon presentation of a valid state government "seniors" card.
4.4 A Gold Class gift voucher is valid for the redemption of 1 movie ticket at any Gold Class Village Cinemas, Event Cinemas, Greater Union or Birch, Carroll & Coyle cinema location across Australia subject to the following conditions:
4.4.1 not valid at Movie Marathons, Special Events, 4DX or for group bookings;
4.4.2 surcharges apply for 3D/Real D films; and
4.4.3 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings.
4.5 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
4.6 A gift voucher cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
4.7 Expiry dates on all Village Cinemas products cannot be extended or changed and are:
4.7.1 12 months from the date of purchase; or
4.7.2 36 months from the date of purchase if the purchase was made on or from 31 March 2018 from the Albury Cinema ticket box or through the Village Cinemas gift shop where the postal address for delivery is in NSW.
4.8 The prices listed on https://shop.villagecinemas.com.au may differ from those available at the Ticket Box.
5.1 eVouchers are available for purchase from the Online Gift Store https://shop.villagecinemas.com.au
5.2 eVouchers are sent via email to the email address you provide when completing the transaction. Please allow up to 60 minutes after purchasing the eVoucher for it to be redeemed.
5.3 eVouchers for our Traditional Cinemas are not valid for Gold Class and only valid for redemption at the following locations: Victoria: Airport West, Bendigo, Century City, Coburg Drive-In, Crown, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Geelong, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, Morwell, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Shepparton, Southland, Sunshine, Werribee Tasmania: Eastlands, Glenorchy, Hobart, Launceston NSW; Albury.
5.4 eVouchers for our Gold Class Cinemas are only valid for a Gold Class redemption at the following locations: Albury, Bendigo, Century City Walk, Crown, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Geelong, Hobart, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Southland, Sunshine & Werribee.
5.5 eVouchers are subject to the following conditions:
5.5.1 not valid at Movie Marathons, Group Bookings, 4DX or Special Events;
5.5.2 surcharges apply for Vmax, Dolby Atmos, Vpremium, Vjunior and 3D/Real D films;
5.5.3 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings;
5.5.4 valid for 12 months from purchase;
5.5.5 Child eVouchers are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under. Under no circumstance are Child eVouchers valid for R-rated films. Child eVouchers must only be used to see an MA 15+ film when accompanied by a parent or adult guardian for the duration of the film;
5.5.6 Senior eVouchers are valid only for admission upon presentation of a valid state government “seniors” card.
5.6 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
5.7 An eVoucher cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
5.8 Expiry dates on all Village Cinemas products cannot be extended or changed
6.1 An adult movie card is valid for the redemption of 5 movie ticket at any Village Cinemas location in Victoria & Tasmania for 6 months only from the date of purchase subject to the following conditions:
6.1.1 not valid after 5 p.m. on Saturday nights;
6.1.2 not valid at Gold Class, Movie Marathons, Special Events, 4DX or for group bookings;
6.1.3 surcharges apply for Vmax, Dolby Atmos, Vpremium, Vjunior and 3D/Real D films;
6.1.4 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings; and
6.1.5 Not valid at Peninsula or Warrnambool Cinemas.
6.2 The same conditions as provided in clause 6.1 apply to a Child Admit 5 Movie Card. Child Movie Cards are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under.
6.3 The same conditions as provided in clause 6.1 apply to a Seniors Admit 5 Movie Card. Seniors Movie Cards are valid only for admission upon presentation of a valid state government "seniors" card.
6.4 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
6.5 Movie Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
6.6 Expiry dates on all Village Cinemas products cannot be extended or changed.
6.7 The prices listed on https://shop.villagecinemas.com.au may differ from those available at the Ticket Box.
7.1 Traditional Experience cards are valid for the redemption of a select number of movie tickets and a set food and beverage package at any Village Cinemas location in Victoria & Tasmania for 12 months only from the date of purchase subject to the following conditions:
7.1.1 not valid at Gold Class, Movie Marathons, Special Events, 4DX or for group bookings;
7.1.2 surcharges apply for Vmax, Dolby Atmos, Vpremium, Vjunior and 3D/Real D films;
7.1.3 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings;
7.1.4 We reserve the right to offer alternate food & beverage items should the advertised options no longer be available; and
7.1.5 Valid at Village Cinemas VIC: Airport West, Bendigo, Century City Walk, Coburg, Crown, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Geelong, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, M-City, Morwell, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Shepparton, Southland, Sunshine, Werribee, NSW: Albury or TAS: Eastlands, Glenorchy, Hobart, Launceston.
7.1.6 Not valid at Peninsula or Warrnambool Cinemas; and
7.1.6 Village Cinemas locations are subject to change.
7.2 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.1 apply to a Total Movie Experience. A Total Movie Experience card is valid for the redemption of 2 movie tickets and a Total Movie Experience Combo consisting of 1 Large Popcorn, 2 Large Cokes and 2 Choc Tops.
7.3 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.1 apply to a Family Experience. A Family Experience card is valid for the redemption of 2 adult movie tickets, 2 child movie tickets and a Family Experience Combo consisting of 4 Small Popcorns, 4 Small Cokes and 4 Chocolate Treats. Child tickets are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under.
7.4 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.1 apply to a Kids Experience. A Kids Experience card is valid for the redemption of 1 child movie tickets and a Kids Experience Combo consisting of 1 Small Popcorn, 1 Small Coke and 1 Chocolate Treat. Child tickets are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under.
7.5 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.1 apply to a Vjunior Experience. A Vjunior Experience card is valid for the redemption of 1 child Vjunior movie ticket and a Vjunior Experience Combo consisting of 1 Small Popcorn, 1 Vjunior Hot Food item and 1 Juice box or Small Coke. Child tickets are valid only for admission of children ages 14 years or under. Vjunior Surcharges do not apply.
7.6 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.1 apply to a Vpremium Experience. A Vpremium Experience card is valid for the redemption of 2 Vpremium movie tickets and a Vpremium Experience Combo consisting of 2 Hot Food items and 2 glasses of House Wine or Beer. Vpremium Surcharges do not apply.
7.7 Gold Class Experience cards are valid for the redemption of a select number of movie tickets and a set food and beverage package at select Village Cinemas location in Victoria & Tasmania for 12 months only from the date of purchase subject to the following conditions:
7.7.1 not valid at Movie Marathons, Special Events, or for group bookings;
7.7.2 surcharges apply for 3D/Real D films;
7.7.3 booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings; and
7.7.4 We reserve the right to offer alternate food & beverage items should the advertised options no longer be available.
7.8 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.7 apply to a Gold Class Experience. A Gold Class Experience card is valid for the redemption of 2 Gold Class movie tickets, 5 Gold Class food items and 2 glasses of house wine or beer.
7.9 The same conditions as provided in clause 7.7 apply to a Gold Class Indulgence. A Gold Class Indulgence card is valid for the redemption of 2 Gold Class movie tickets, 5 Gold Class food items, 1 bottle of House Wine and 2 premium coffees. Not valid at Albury Cinemas.
7.10 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
7.11 Movie Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
7.12 Expiry dates on all Village Cinemas products cannot be extended or changed.
7.13 The prices listed on https://shop.villagecinemas.com.au may differ from those available at the Ticket Box.
8.1 Gift Cards are available for purchase from the Online Gift Store and at the Ticket Box.
8.2 Gift Cards purchased online will be processed by Village and sent on the next business day via the postage method selected during checkout.
8.3 Please allow 2 business days from the date of purchase for the card to be activated.
8.4 Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded, unless required by law.
8.5 Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, must not be on-sold without the written permission of Village, is non-refundable and is not available for exchange, unless required by law.
8.6 Expiry dates cannot be extended or changed and are:
8.6.1 36 months from date of issue; or
8.6.2 12 months from the date of issue if issued before 31 March 2018
8.7 Gift Cards are only valid for redemption at the following locations: Airport West, Albury, Bendigo, Century City, Coburg Drive-In, Crown, Doncaster, Eastlands, Fountain Gate, Geelong, Glenorchy, Hobart, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, Launceston, Morwell, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Shepparton, Southland, Sunshine, Werribee.
8.8 Gift Cards can be used to purchase movie tickets and items from the Candy Bar and Gold Class Food and Beverage menu. Gift Cards cannot be used for the purchase of Screen Savers, Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards or other Village Cinemas gift products.
8.9 To check the balance and expiry date of your Gift Card, present the Gift Card at any ticket box at a Village Cinemas location stated at 8.7 or follow the prompts online at https://villagecinemas.com.au/gift-card-balance.
8.10 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
9.1 eGift Cards are a paper Gift Card (sent via email) which can be used to purchase movie tickets and items from the Candy Bar and Gold Class Food and Beverage menu. Gift Cards cannot be used for the purchase of Screen Savers, Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards or other Village Cinemas gift products eGift Cards can be redeemed at the Ticket Box, online or via the call centre.
9.2 Please allow 2 business days from the date of purchase for the eGift Card to be activated.
9.3 Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded, unless required by law.

9.9 Redemption for admission to any particular cinema, movie or session is subject to availability.
10.1 Village Cinemas promotional vouchers may have different terms and conditions to our standard range of gift products. Please see the specific terms and conditions on each promotional voucher to confirm terms of use.
11.1 Movie tickets purchased via this Website can be collected:
11.1.1 by the credit card holder presenting the card used for the transaction at the Ticket Box;
11.1.2 by presenting your smart phone to the usher at the cinema, where the ticket has been emailed to you and the ticket is displayed on your smart phone. The unique barcode on the ticket can only be used once;
11.1.3 by printing the ticket at home and presenting the print-out at the ticket-tearing point to gain admission to the selected movie session. The unique barcode on the ticket can only be used once.
11.2 Movie tickets purchased via this Website are non-refundable and are not available for exchange, unless required by law.
11.3 Booking fees apply for online and call centre bookings.
11.4 Where allocated seating applies to a session you have the choice of choosing your own seat (from those available) using the Website. Otherwise seat allocation for movie tickets purchased via this Website is on a "best available" basis and is carried out by a prescribed computer program. By purchasing movie tickets via this Website you agree that:
11.4.1 you will accept the seat allocated by Village to each ticket purchased; and
11.4.2 Village has made no warranties or representations to you that you will be seated in a particular seat, row or section of the relevant cinema.
11.5 You acknowledge that Village may, at its discretion, refuse to sell movie tickets to you or withdraw any movie tickets from sale via this Website.
12.1 Movie tickets are made available subject to the classification of the relevant film given by the Office of Film and Literature Classification. Where concession tickets are purchased or concessional gift vouchers are redeemed for movie tickets, suitable identification must be presented upon collection of the tickets.
13.1 Payment for items purchased from https://shop.villagecinemas.com.au from this website must be made by credit card.
13.2 Prices quoted on this Website are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
14.1 You acknowledge and agree that the copyright and other intellectual property rights in this Website and in all information and materials on this Website ("Website Content") are owned by Village, its affiliates, suppliers or licensors unless expressly indicated. The Website Content is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws.
14.2 You agree that you will not do any of the following without Village's written permission:
14.2.1 use Village's trademarks, except for printing out a copy of this Website or as part of a reference to a Village product or service;
14.2.2 reproduce, copy, modify, merge, adapt, translate, re publish, frame, upload to a third party, post, transmit, broadcast, communicate to the public or otherwise make the Website Content available to the public;

19.1 Except as provided by law, neither Village nor its affiliates nor the employees, officers and agents of Village or its affiliates will be under any liability to you, in contract, tort or otherwise, in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage, loss of profits, economic loss or loss of information) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of:
19.1.1 your use of this Website;
19.1.2 The accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any Website Content or information contained in that Website Content;
19.1.3 Your use of any websites that this Website links to;
19.1.4 Any movie tickets or other goods or services supplied pursuant to these Terms of Use; or
19.1.5 In respect of the failure of Village to comply with its obligations under these Terms of Use.
The Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) imposes statutory guarantees on Village when it supplies goods or services to consumers pursuant to these Terms of Use. However, the liability of Village for any breach of such condition or warranty or any other breach of these Terms of Use will be limited where it is reasonable to do so, at the option of Village, to one or more of the following:
20.1 If the breach relates to goods:
20.1.1 the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods;
20.1.2 the repair of such goods;
20.1.3 the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; or
20.1.4 the payment of the cost of having the goods repaired; and
20.2 If the breach relates to services:
20.2.1 the supplying of the services again; or
20.2.2 the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
21.1 These Terms of Use shall be construed in accordance with and shall be governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.
21.2 You irrevocably submit to and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of any of the Courts of the State of Victoria or the Commonwealth of Australia and any courts of appeal from these courts.
• Be sure to have a Vjunior ticket before you enter the play area.
• Playtime begins 30 minutes prior to the start of the film.
• Please look out for your little ones. Children must be supervised at all times.
• Playtime is fun, but it also needs to be safe. Vjunior activities may increase the risk of possible injury or harm, so please play safely and responsibly at all times!
• We’re glad you love the play equipment, but please leave it here for others to enjoy.
• Be careful! Play equipment is used at your own risk.
• Keep an eye on your belongings – we can take no responsibility for items lost or damaged.
• The cinema’s general conditions of entry also apply at Vjunior.
• The Vjunior cinema slide has it’s own set of rules, too. Please make sure they’re adhered to when our little guests are sliding.
• Last but not least... have fun!
Due to safety requirements, the following guests will not be admitted to a 4DX presentation:
• Children aged 3 and under
• Guests under 100 cm tall
With our apologies, 4DX presentations are not recommended for the following guests:
• Guests weighing over 120kg
• Guests who suffer from high blood pressure, heart conditions, back or neck conditions, epilepsy, or any type of serious medical conditions or disabilities
• Guests who use a wheelchair
• Guests who are blind or who have visual impairment
• Guests with sensory sensitivities
• Pregnant women
• Guests suffering from breathing problems, such as allergies or scent sensitivities
• Guests prone to motion sickness
If you are unsure about attending a 4DX presentation, please consult your doctor or physician.
Vrewards Terms and Conditions
1.1 These Terms and Conditions set out the details of Vrewards and the rights and obligations of both the Members and Village Cinemas. It is each Member's responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 By enrolling and participating in Vrewards, each Member acknowledges and agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 The Vrewards Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time and Members are bound by the updated Terms and Conditions. Village Cinemas may alter, withdraw or terminate Vrewards or any feature of Vrewards and will notify Members accordingly. Membership and all Rewards are offered at the discretion of Village Cinemas.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions have the meanings defined below unless the context otherwise requires
2.1 "Digital Card” means a barcode number or QR code issued by Village Cinemas to identify a Member of Vrewards. A Digital Card will be issued to each new Member. A Member can access their Digital Card by logging into Vrewards via https://villagecinemas.com.au or via the Village Cinemas mobile app and presenting the digital barcode displayed on the phone to a team member or kiosk.
2.2 "Eligible Purchases” means the items purchased which accrue Points. Eligible Purchases include purchases of movie tickets, redemption of gift cards, redemption of movie vouchers, Gold Class food and beverage spend, candy bar spend at Participating Cinemas and booking fees for online movie ticket purchases. Purchases of gift products, redemption of complimentary tickets, courtesy passes and the redemption of Rewards are not Eligible Purchases.
2.3 "Full Member” is a Member who has entered a valid email address and password online, opted in to receive email communications from Village Cinemas and partners and is assigned a Digital Card. A Full Member is eligible to accrue Points and receive Rewards. A Full Member can choose to link a Membership Card or Key Tag to their Vrewards online account.
2.4 "Incomplete Member” is a Member who has joined online and confirmed their Membership. An Incomplete Member enters a valid email address and password online and has been assigned a Digital Card however they have elected to not receive digital communications from Village Cinemas and partners. An Incomplete Member is eligible to accrue Points but cannot receive additional Rewards delivered by email.
2.5 “Card Only Member” is a Member who may have signed up for a predecessing loyalty program over the counter and was not required to provide an email at the time. They do not have an online account, but may still accrue points that can be redeemed for rewards.
2.6 "Member" means a person who is recognised by Village Cinemas as a participant in Vrewards and includes a Full Member, Incomplete Member and Card Only Member.
2.7 "Membership" means the participation of a Member in Vrewards.
2.8 "Membership ID” means the Membership Card, Key Tag, email address, QR code or Digital Card issued to a Member.
2.9 "Participating Cinemas" means cinemas which are branded ‘Village Cinemas’ in Victoria and Tasmania. Cinemas may be added to the Vrewards Program from time-to-time. Cinemas which are not branded ‘Village Cinemas’ (including but not limited to the cinemas at Rosebud, Sorrento, Warragul and Warrnambool) are not Participating Cinemas for the purpose of Vrewards. Certain promotions and offers may apply at selected cinemas only, Members should check the terms and conditions for the relevant offer.
2.10 "Points” means the currency system whereby a Member earns Vrewards points in exchange for dollar spend on Eligible Purchases.
2.11 "Points Balance” means the current balance of Points that a Member has accrued. A Member can access the Points Balance anytime by logging into their account on the website https://villagecinemas.com.au.
2.12 "Rewards" means privileges which are offered to Members as part of Vrewards, including discounted or free tickets, discounted or free food and beverage items, Member newsletters, entry into Members-only competitions or eligibility for Members-only products, services or offers.
2.13 "Terms and Conditions" means these terms and conditions which govern Vrewards as varied from time-to-time by Village Cinemas.
2.14 "Vrewards Member Page” means the page that Members can access after logging into their account on the website http://villagecinemas.com.au to view their Points Balance and Rewards.
2.15 "Vrewards Premiere” means a Membership tier of Vrewards, accessed by the accumulation of Points and an invitation from Vrewards Premiere.
Membership of Vrewards is free of charge
4.1 Membership of Vrewards is open to individuals residing in Australia who:
4.1.1 Are aged 14 years or over;
4.1.2 Sign up to Vrewards;
4.1.3 Agree to the Terms and Conditions;
4.2 Membership is effective upon receipt of confirmation from Vrewards.
4.3 A Member must only have one open Membership account at any given time. A Member may accrue Points and collect Rewards in one account only.
4.4 Members must continue to be active in a 12 month period in order to retain the Points earned in that 12 month period. Points accrued by an inactive account will expire per clause 8.3.
4.5 Village Cinemas reserves the right at any time and without notice to decline to issue Membership, withdraw or cancel any Membership, terminate a Membership or terminate Vrewards.
4.6 Grounds for actioning any of the matters referred to in clause 4.5 include (but are not limited to):
4.6.1 Any abuse or attempted abuse of a person’s Membership, Vrewards or anything associated with Village Cinemas;
4.6.2 An act or omission contrary to these Terms and Conditions;
4.6.3 Any Points which are accumulated or credited fraudulently or erroneously;
4.6.4 Any reasonable suspicion of unacceptable conduct in connection with a person’s Membership.
4.7 Membership can only be held by an individual.
4.8 A Member nominated by a business may earn Points at a rate of 1 point per $1 spent from Eligible Purchases made on behalf of a business for corporate screenings, fundraisers, group bookings, private screenings, birthdays or school bookings when purchasing a full price function package directly from Village Cinemas. Points will not be earned for purchases made via a third party for corporate screenings, fundraisers, group bookings, private screenings, birthdays or school bookings at Village Cinemas.
4.9 A Member cannot earn Points from the purchase of gift cards, vouchers or discount coupons.
4.10 Membership, Digital Cards, Points Balances and Rewards are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash.
4.11 Employees of Village Cinemas and its related bodies corporate are not eligible to join Vrewards and are not permitted to enter any competitions or draws.
4.12 Membership and Rewards are only available at Participating Cinemas. Village Cinemas may vary the number and location of Participating Cinemas from time-to-time without notification.
4.13 Vrewards Premiere
4.13.1 To qualify for Vrewards Premiere Members must:
(a) be invited by Village Cinemas to join Vrewards Premiere; and
(b) earn at least 10,000 Vrewards Status Points annually from the date of joining Vrewards Premiere. 'Status Points’ means all Vrewards Points that are earned in a 12 month period, not
including Points issued as a Reward or refund.
4.13.2 Vrewards Premiere Members will receive the invitation email on the first day of the month following qualification.
4.13.3 Vrewards Premiere Members will retain their status for a 12 month period from the date of joining Vrewards Premiere.
4.13.4.2 Vrewards Premiere Members will receive the following benefits in addition to their existing loyalty benefits:
4.13.4.3 Eligibility to receive invitations to exclusive Village Cinemas’ premieres and events;
4.13.5 A Member must earn a minimum of 10,000 Vrewards Status Points annually from the date of joining Vrewards Premiere to retain Vrewards Premiere status.
4.13.6 Vrewards Premiere Rewards are not redeemable for cash and non-transferable.
5.1 Vrewards has its own Digital Membership Card (Digital Card). Members should keep their Digital Card secure.
5.2 A Member’s Digital Card will correspond with one Membership number only
5.3 If a Member's Membership identification is compromised, the Member must immediately inform Village Cinemas. Village Cinemas will replace the Membership Digital Card.
5.4 All Digital Cards remain the property of Village Cinemas at all times and must only be used by Members for the purposes contemplated by these Terms and Conditions.
6.1 Membership may be terminated by the Member or Village Cinemas.
6.2 A Member may terminate their Membership via their Vrewards page by submitting an enquiry or by contacting the Customer Service team on [email protected].
6.3 Membership may be automatically terminated if Village Cinemas cancels Vrewards.
6.4 Village Cinemas may terminate a Member’s Membership for any of the reasons specified in clause 4.6 or if Village Cinemas considers that it is otherwise reasonable to do so.
7.1 At the end of the online sign-up process, applicants will receive an email sent to the email address nominated in the application. It is at this point that Membership becomes active and may be used.
7.2 Members who sign up to Vrewards online are automatically assigned a Digital Card.
7.3 If Points are not accrued at time of purchase, Members must email [email protected] with their Membership ID and a copy of a Tax Invoice within two (2) weeks of the Eligible Purchase to have the points added to the Member’s account.
7.4 Except where clause 7.8 applies and as otherwise set out in these Terms and Conditions, in order to accrue Points when purchasing tickets, the Member must have their Digital Card swiped by the cashier prior to payment at Participating Cinemas or be logged-on as a Member when purchasing tickets online.
7.5 Incomplete Members and Full Members can access their Points Balance and view Rewards by logging into their account in the Vrewards Member Page.
7.6 Every use of the Membership ID to accrue Points and secure Rewards signifies acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
7.7 A customer who purchases movie tickets online and is not a Member may be credited with Points retrospectively provided that they sign-up to become a Vrewards Member within 48 hours of the online ticket purchase.
7.8 Members can store credit card details in their Member’s Vrewards account. The Member’s credit card details can be used to pay for online purchases made through the Village Cinema’s site when logged in to the Vrewards account. Members may choose to opt-out from the stored credit card option.
7.9 Member’s credit card details in the Member’s Vrewards account are stored securely via an independent third party. The credit card details are not stored by Village Cinemas or on this Village Cinema’s site. Members can email [email protected] to delete the storage of credit card details from Village’s site or if they have any other questions.
8.1 Earning Points and Rewards:
8.1.1 A Member will be eligible for a Reward when their Membership account shows that they have reached the required Points Balance of 500 Points or more.
8.1.2 A Member will earn 10 Points (which will be reflected in the Member’s Points Balance) for every $1 the Member spends on Eligible Purchases at a Participating Cinema.
8.1.3 Points are earned whilst a Member is logged on during an online transaction or by presenting a valid Membership ID prior to payment at a Participating Cinema.
8.1.4 It is the Member's responsibility to log in or show their Membership ID to earn Points. Village Cinemas is in no way liable for any loss or missed opportunity should a Member fail to log in or show their Membership ID when making an Eligible Purchase.
8.1.5 Only paid Eligible Purchases are eligible to earn Points.
8.1.6 When tickets are purchased online Points cannot be split between Members. Points will only be allocated to the Member logged into the Vrewards Members Page when making the purchase, irrespective of the quantity of tickets purchased and whether other Members will be using the tickets.
8.1.7 When purchasing tickets at a Participating Cinema, all Members present may scan their respective Membership ID for the one transaction and the relevant amount of Points will be allocated to each Member.
8.1.8 Points for candy bar and Gold Class menu purchases will be allocated to the Member whose card is scanned at the time of purchase.
8.1.9 The price paid for the Eligible Purchases will determine the amount of Points the Member will earn.
8.1.10 Points earned will appear in the Member’s Point Balance within 24 hours of a completed Eligible Purchase. Members can start earning Points from when the welcome email is received from Village Cinemas.
8.1.11 Members may receive an email informing them of the Rewards available and their Points Balance including Points expiry date. Points which have reached or passed the expiry date cannot be used to redeem for Rewards.
8.1.12 Village Cinemas may advertise offers where Members may earn additional Points, or Members may redeem their Points Balance (or part thereof) for additional Rewards.
8.1.13 If Village Cinemas cannot confirm that Points or Rewards were properly issued or obtained, it may refuse to record or honour the Points or Rewards on a Member's account, or if already recorded, may cancel such Points or Rewards.
8.2 Redeeming Rewards:
8.2.1 Members can redeem ticket-related Rewards whilst logged into the Vrewards Member Page or express ticket kiosk or they can redeem all Rewards at a Participating Cinema by presenting their Membership ID at the candy bar.
8.2.2 Points are redeemed in the order they were earned where older Points will be redeemed before new points are redeemed.
8.2.3 Members can choose to exchange their Points for Rewards at their next visit once the minimum 500 points is achieved or may wish to save their Points in order to redeem a higher value item.
8.2.4 The redemption of a Reward is subject to item availability. Redemption of ticket-related Rewards are not subject to online booking fees.
8.2.5 Movie ticket Rewards are valid for sessions marked “NFT”. There are no blackout periods however ticket-related Rewards are not available for movie marathons, group bookings, special events or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated.
8.3 Points Expiry:
8.3.1 Points earned by a Member will expire 12 months from the date the Points are earned, if they are not redeemed.
8.3.2 Expired Points will be transitioned into specific movie tickets or food & beverage items to be used within two (2) months of the Points expiring.
8.3.3 The expiry and transition of Points over 12 months old will be processed and issued in automated quarterly batches.
8.4 Vrewards may email offers to Members from third parties. Village Cinemas accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to any matter that may arise between the Member and any third party in relation to any offer that a third party has made through Vrewards.
8.5 Incomplete Members are still eligible to earn Points and redeem Rewards, however they will be ineligible for exclusive Rewards that are communicated directly to Members or added to Member accounts.
8.6 Full Members will be entered into promotions or competitions by scanning their Membership ID at the Participating Cinema or being logged into a Vrewards account online while purchasing tickets. Entry into such competitions may be subject to separate terms and conditions which will be available on the Village Cinemas website.
8.7 Full Members may receive film-based discounts, offers and Rewards. Separate terms and conditions may apply to such offers which will be available on the offer landing page or in the email that the Member is sent advertising the offer.
8.8 Village Cinemas may host special Member-only screenings where entry is complimentary or at a discounted price. Prior to admission, Members must present their Membership ID as proof of Membership. As seating is limited, Membership does not guarantee entry to these screenings.
In the event that the Member returns a paid Eligible Purchase, any Points accrued from the Eligible Purchase will be deducted automatically from the Member’s Points Balance.
9.1 In the event that the Member exchanges an Eligible Purchase, any variation in Points entitlements accrued from the exchange will be added or deducted automatically from the Member’s Points Balance accordingly.
10.1 By participating in Vrewards, Members consent to Village Cinemas collection, use and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with Village Cinemas Privacy Policy (Privacy Policy) as may be amended from time to time and which can be viewed at https://villagecinemas.com.au/privacy-policy.
10.2 Members’ personal information is provided to Movio Limited (Movio) in order for Movio and its nominees to provide services including but not limited to the management of the online member platform, manage member subscriptions, data processing, marketing and provide promotional information relevant to your preferences. Any information collected by Movio is subject to its privacy policy available at https://movio.co/privacy-policy/.
10.3 Privacy Collection Notice: Member’s personal information is being collected by Village Cinemas so Members can be provided with the Rewards of Vrewards, so that Village Cinemas may contact the Member about their purchases and for marketing and promotional purposes. Personal information will only be disclosed to Village Cinemas’ service providers for these purposes. Member’s personal information will be handled as set out in the Privacy Policy. Members can contact Village Cinemas’ Privacy Officer if you would like details of your personal information held by Village Cinemas or if you would like it to be corrected at [email protected].
11.1 The terms of use in respect of the website of Village Cinemas apply to any use of the website in connection with Vrewards. The terms may be found https://villagecinemas.com.au/terms-and-conditions
11.2 Cookies are enabled automatically when using the website and are linked to a Member’s Vrewards account when the Member is logged in. Cookies are used as detailed in the Privacy Policy.
12.1 CaptiView units can be reserved through villagecinemas.com.au.
12.2 Please note that CaptiView units are subject to availability.
12.3 Please reserve a unit at least 2 hours in advance to allow preparation time.
12.4 Please ensure you bring photo ID to leave with a manager in exchange for the unit.
12.5 At the end of the film, please return the unit to the Candy Bar in exchange for your ID.
12.6 Device must be used within Village Cinemas and may not be removed from premises. Closed Captioning is not available for all sessions. To locate Closed Caption session times, please look for the CC icon next to the session on the Village Cinemas website.
If part or all of any clause in these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
14.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits Village Cinemas’ legal or equitable rights and remedies.
14.2 Subject to applicable laws, Village Cinemas will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any Member as a result of any termination, suspension or cancellation of Vrewards or the Member's Membership.
14.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any rights a Member may have which by law cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
14.4 Neither Village Cinemas nor its officers, agents, employees or related bodies corporate make any representation or warranty as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of Vrewards or the Rewards. Village Cinemas will not be liable for any loss (including any indirect or consequential loss) or damage by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, of Village Cinemas in connection with Vrewards unless liability may not be lawfully excluded, in which case liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Vrewards Promotions, Rewards and Offerings
500 Points may be used to redeem:
1 x Small Post-Mix Drink. In exchange for 500 Points, one Small Drink may be redeemed. Excludes bottled drinks; OR

All Rewards listed in the Vrewards program are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. All ticket related Rewards are available for redemption in cinema by scanning your Membership ID or by logging into your Vrewards account online. All food and beverage items are only available for redemption in cinema. Points are not eligible to be earned for the redemption rewards unless there is a paid component (i.e. Points and Pay 800 points + $8 and Gold Class Ticket Upgrade). Participating films are identified by the code VREW-ADV on online sessions. Double points are not awarded for booking fees and non-ticket purchases.
