Spectrospective 2019

Sensory friendly movie sessions for autistic children and adults, and their families

We are proud to bring Sensory Friendly Films to autistic people. Sensory Friendly Films allow families to enjoy their favourite films in a safe and accepting environment with the cinema lights turned up and the sound turned down. Look for the orange "Sensory Friendly Film" icon Sensory Friendly Session next to the session times to see which cinemas and sessions are screening these films.

*Offer is valid at participating Village Cinemas locations only. $5 pricing available at ticket box only. A booking fee per ticket applies to all online and phone bookings. Surcharge applies for 3D and Gold Class films. Please note, the films above are not showing at all Village Cinemas locations. Check sessions before buying tickets.

Spectrospective 2019

This Sensory Friendly session of The LEGO Movie 2 will feature a screening of the short film “Spectrospective: Stories of Autism 2019”.

Spectrospective is an annual short film produced by Amaze and starring the autism community, which aims to build awareness and understanding about autism in the wider community by sharing lived experiences.

This year, Spectrospective is all about work – whether it’s work experience, paid employment or volunteering. You’ll hear stories from autistic people about their experience, challenges and ambitions. Spectrospective aims to break down myths around autism and work, and help employers understand how they can provide more opportunity for autistic employees.
