About The Foundation:

Who They Are

A charitable foundation supporting facially deformed children as part of the Department of Plastic & Maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

What They Do

  • Their mission is to support education and research related to major facial deformities in children.
  • Craniofacial surgery is a specialty which deals with the correction of major head & facial deformities, which usually result from birth abnormalities, trauma or tumours.
  • What makes their work important is that most children afflicted with these deformities are of normal intellect and could take their place in normal society if they weren’t so rejected by their appearance.
  • Theirs is a message of great hope. They are not dealing with fatal illness. They have a wonderful opportunity with each and every child.
  • They perform 2000 operations and see 10,000 outpatients each year.
  • The effect they have on their patients lives is amazing!
